Dream Killer

I guess I’m procrastinating a little on the 2nd part of my story. I’m thinking I will get to it tonight at some point. But something happened to me last night that I must share.

One of my close friends has a chance to do something to impact peoples lives. He’s been married for some time and has pretty much lost his balls. His wife does a lot of work that gets her enormous amounts of recognition. So naturally she’s use to getting all the attention.

I’ve reached out to my buddy over the past few months and we started to work on a project that would help him get some of his ideas out and give him something to do. At this point in his life, he takes care of what he needs to take care of but there is no excitement. I came up with an idea to bring some excitement back into his life. He loved it! Last night was the night that we were supposed to get this project on the ground running…

But something happened. His wife who supposedly was cool with it, now has a problem with it. After talking to a mutual friend about the situation, we both came to the conclusion that she probably doesn’t want him to live the life he wants to lead. She wants to control everything that he does and wants him to stay in that boring fucking existence that he is use to. Well… To say I was pissed would be an understatement.

I’m not saying that marriage is bad, I’m not saying that all women are bad. But a good majority of you fucking sluts know how to get into some of these guys heads and really alter the way they live their lives. It’s sad… I’m not going to sit here and tell you that it’s never happened to me, because it did. THANKFULLY, it happened to me at a young age and I learned soooooo much from it, that it never, happened, again.

But what’s the deal?! Let the man have some fun… This project wasn’t going to in any way separate him from her or the marriage. It was just giving him something more to do with his life than chilling in his briefs watching Sports Center. We talked about this, I know that he wants more out of his life. This was going to give him that. But this fucking chick had to go and ruin it…

There are a few reasons why I’m in my late 20’s early 30’s and nowhere near getting married. One of the many reasons I will give you now is because my shit is not figured out yet. I want to be living my dream before I start to live in someone elses. I’m tired of people saying:

“Oh you just have to meet the right person.”

FUCK YOU. I will meet the right person once I have MY shit figured out and I have my life on the right track. I don’t need someone to help figure out MY dream. All you kids out there getting married young and think you have it figured out, are all stupid… I didn’t stutter, I said stupid. We don’t live in the same era our parents did. That Cinderella story doesn’t exist anymore. Get with the times people… Do you before you try to partner up with someone and fuck their lives up.
